Ferrite Magnets

Description

The ferrite magnets, also known as ceramic magnets, are one of the most economical permanent magnets and one of the most used. Despite their lower energy, they have excellent resistance to corrosion and a wider temperature range that makes it have infinite possibilities for applications.

They are produced from iron oxide and strontium carbonate powders. These materials are mixed, ground and pressed under a magnetic field, thus obtaining a magnetic orientation still green (in the case of anisotropic magnets). Due to their manufacturing process they are relatively hard and brittle, it is extremely important to handle them carefully to avoid chipping and breakage.

Ferrite magnets do not rust and do not require a protective layer, are resistant to corrosion and can operate at temperatures up to 250 ° C without losing their magnetic field.

Ferrite can be manufactured with several compositions and some may have considerable magnetic fields, as for example those used in magnetic equipment and other types may have a smaller magnetic field but with a greater number of applications, such as flexible magnets.

It is important to remember that a neodymium magnet of the same mass has about 18x ??more strength than a ferrite magnet - and yet it is one of the most used magnets in the world.

Our portfolio has a different types of shapes, measures and magnetic forces in different degrees 1 (Y10T), 5 (Y30), 7 (Y35).

At Brasil Magnets you will find ferrite magnets available in different types of shapes and sizes that will suit you in whatever you need! Consult our specialists.
